Congratulations to those who have a qualified the written part of PMS. It is indeed a an achievement qualifying this prestigious examination. You are among those who would be going to join the provincial civil service as Provincial Management Service Officers. I wish you best of luck for the further process of Psychological and Interview. As well as I am concerned I didn't appear this time. However, as I have the experience of qualifying both the previous pms examinations in 2012 and 2104 , I am all here , if I can be of any help regarding the further process .

Those who are going to appear for psychological part of PMS need to keep certain things in mind.

First of all keeping in view the previous year's experience one can predict that there wouldn't be any rigorous psychological test this time either. Rather there would be some MCQs type questions assessing the major personality traits. That's why you shouldn't need worried even the least. As it has been heard that all the qualified ones have been called on the same day , it further makes sense that that there won't be lengthy process like css or the way it was in PMS 2012.

Secondly, while attempting those questions the following things have to be kept supreme.

First of all don't miss or skip any question. The time would be sufficient for attempting them all. Still if some questions remain unanswered due to shortage of time , it won't make significant damage. However, if some questions are skipped , it would make the statement that the person is shying away and is concealing the truth as the questions are clearly about you and nothing is there which you don't know about yourself.
Be mindful that you don't let contradiction come in. While answering the questions be very alert and answer the question by remembering the answers which you have already have given. Like, at one place you submit that that you are social person and at some other place the questions come that what would you prefer staying g at home or going with friends. Now here you should prefer going with friends so that the collective impression of being social person keeps on getting built. This is just one example. There would be certain other things also of the sort.
Then it would be highly advisable that one follows a moderate and progressive approach. One should, instead of being too straight forward, be manipulative. When it comes to religion, sect, minorities, ethnicities , provincialism, women rights , civil-military relations , governace and demicracy , party affiliation, political views and relation with neighbouring countries like India, Iran and Afghanistan and the ties with West and America , one should pose having moderate and progressive approach and should champion oneself of torelacne and peaceful coexistence.

One thing more which I would strongly recommend is not to waste money on visiting some psychologist or psychiatrist. It won't create any positive difference nor it is needed keeping in view the simple nature of PMS Psycholical.
Finally , I wish you best of luck for your glaring success and final selection.

My dear last time the psychological test was in this way that there were some 180 plus MCQs type questions were asked. Most probably thus time also the same pattern woukd be followed. Even the same set of questons may completely be repeated. Last time we were called in groups. I think we were called in groups of 50 each. Brother the very first thing is that the Psychological does not contain any marks or weightage at all. But it doesn't mean , at the same time , that is is mere a futile effort. sometimes , the strong report of the psychological creates a very strong impression of you and the final interview Panel gives you better marks in the final interview. And sometime the bad report hinders your way of obtaining good marks in the final interview. Though usually the psychological doesn't play any vital role. But this also remains the fact that by performing somewhat very good in this psychological part , you may brighten your chances of receiving fair treatment in the interview.

Secondly i have just gone through the psychological interview schedule and i have noticed a difference from my earlier perception.
Actually in PMS 204 the PPSC had skipped the Autobiography writing, picture story writing , proforma questions answering and the group discussion. There was only that single test comprising of MCQs. While in PMS 2012 , all of these were the part of PMS Psychological. That's why i was thinking that PPSC may be following the same process which it adopted last year.

Now come to the group discussion. In PMS 2012 , the group discussion took place on the next day of the written part of the Psychological. Not only there was group discussion , but it was followed by an interview with a panel of two psychologists. But then we were called in the group of 15 both for written part of psychological as wells as the group discussion and interview . The day after written part of psychological , we were asked to come for group discussion and that psychological interview. However , this time they have called all of you in somewhat large groups on the same day , it would be difficult to conduct group discussion of all of you on the next day. So, it is expected that they would be calling you in groups for group discussion the schedule and venue for which they would intimate you on your day of written part of psychological.

It would be advisable if you people be ready for things other then MCQs part also as PPSC seems to be reviving its old practice of somewhat rigorous psychological test. Like , you may be asked to write Autobiography , picture stories and answer the proforma questions regarding your personality .
