Hello to all. I have been recommended for the post of Assistant in the Livestock and Dairy Department, GoP. Case # 23K2016 Here is the link to Final Recommendation: http://ppsc.gop.pk/(S(vemnx5exqlxs4ey0y ... sults.aspx I got second position overall.

My query is related to the procedure post-interview. What happens once the PPSC recommends the candidate. When will the concerned department contact the qualifiers? and when does the actual job start? I will be grateful if somebody can answer these questions.

First of all congratulation. Next, the department will send you the offer letter. After your acceptance you will go through medical examination and after submitting the medical certificate you will be issued the appointment letter

Thank you for your kind words. Do you have an idea how much the time it takes to complete the processes you mentioned in your reply?

Almost it will take 2 weeks.

UPDATE: I received a call yesterday from the department. Today all five of the recommended candidates were called in the department (at the old P & D building near Civil Secretariat). Secretary L &DD Naseem Sadiq briefly interviewed all the probationers. Hopefully we will receive the joining+appointment letter in a month or so.
