1200 Annually Increment hoti hai ..
40000 Maximum Stage hai Scale kee basic pay kee ...

16,000/- is basic pay
1,200/- is yearly increment
40,000/- is last stage of BS 17
Total stages are 20
Besides basic pay (Rs. 16,000/-) the following allowances granted to BS-17
House Rent (45% of basic pay) almost Rs. 7,200/-
Conveyance Allowance (as per Govt. rules) almost Rs. 5,000/-
Medical Allowance (as per Govt. Rules) almost Rs. 2,000/-
Housing Subsidy (except house rent) as per Govt. Rules
Other time to time Adhoc allowances (as per Govt. Rules)
Total Salary of BS-17 is round about Rs. 45,000/-
